One of the landmarks of Freiberg is the "Schwanenschlößchen". The foundation stone for the excursion restaurant was laid in 1896. Unfortunately, the dilapidated building was torn down in 1973. Many Freibergers, especially the older generation, longed for the reopening in an organic, recognizable state. The restaurant scores with good home-style cooking. The operators will face difficult times from November, closed due to CORONA.

We went to the candle light dinner today and were really very satisfied. Nice, friendly and attentive service. Drinks were brought quickly and the food came quickly and was very tasty. The rice was cooked a little too long for my taste, but the stuffed chicken roll was great. The dessert was really delicious (blackberry double decker). We will come back for sure!

A feast for the eyes outside - a treat for the palate inside! What the Schwanenschlößchen promised us from the outside, it could easily keep the inside. If you are ready to let yourself be captured by the cozy and warm calm that the building exudes inside, you can indulge in a different time here hour after hour and forget about it. The staff greeted us very friendly and the kitchen spoiled us with a Saxon culinary delight. And all at normal prices. We can only recommend the Schwanenschlößchen, but as I said, you have to be ready for the beautiful things in life!

Reservation in advance is the best solution so that you can enjoy everything right from the start. I highly recommend it. But you shouldn't expect exotic dishes.

A month ago we celebrated our civil wedding there with a small group. As always, the ambience was very nice and the guests liked it too. A fan was even set up beforehand to counteract the high temperatures. Despite the fact that the orders were a bit mixed up, from cakes and drinks to hot dishes, everything was ready and quickly. It was also really delicious and even when a few guests were upset about our volume (because we were just downstairs for a moment and our guests called a little while we were paddling), we were kindly pointed out and treated friendly. We can only recommend the Schwanenschlösschen.

Anyone visiting Freiberg and taking at least one day to do so should definitely have been to the Schwanenschlößchen. In terms of location and ambience, it is definitely Freiberg's most romantic restaurant. The food selection in the nostalgic menu is good, the food that comes from such an amazingly small kitchen is very tasty and the prices are moderate.

It's a shame ... Conclusion: You sit nicely and are served quickly. 14 € are not sufficient for contactless payment. Warm beer is a no go!

Spent spontaneously on site. Waitress very polite and flexible. Despite the announced waiting time, she pushed us in between so that our 5-year-old didn't have to wait long. Food was more than okay, good home cooking in the middle price segment. Gladly again anytime.

The food, the service and of course the ambience is really great here. As a little break from everyday life or at a family celebration, the Swan Castle is perfect. There is a star deduction because my voucher was no longer accepted. This was from 2016 and there was no expiry date. I don't think it's correct.

I'm sad! Sad because I have been living in Freiberg for 5 years and have lived in the vicinity before but have never been here before. It was nice, the food was good, the staff very friendly. From the prices it is completely in the frame, the portions are, of the quantity, well chosen. Even with children it is very pleasant. We sat outside because the weather was good. We will come back!
